In the spirit of good practice, when you are purchasing self discovery adventures from me I ask you to confirm that you have read and agreed to each statement below and that you wish to proceed.
All services and communication, email or otherwise, delivered by myself, Jamie Shaw, as well as information on this website (permanentpilgrim.com) are meant to help you integrate aspects of yourself, experience greater well-being and fulfilment, and move forward on your ascension path. Receiving guidance from me or coming on a self discovery adventure with me is not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care.
The term ‘guidance’ as here used covers life guidance, personal guidance, ascension guidance, and spiritual guidance.
Jamie is continually striving to ensure the standard of service he provides to its clients remains excellent. At the end of the process, or at the end of an individual's self discovery adventure, the client is encouraged to provide feedback by email.

GUIDANCE & SELF DISCOVERY ADVENTURE DISCLAIMER
I understand that the guidance services I will be receiving from Jamie Shaw are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical conditions. I also understand that Jamie is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional.
For legal purposes, I understand that guidance is currently an unregulated industry and that Jamie Shaw is not “licensed “ by any body, regardless of the location of the sessions or the location of the self discovery adventures undertaken.
I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my well-being during my guidance sessions and during my self discovery adventure, and subsequently, including my choices and decisions.
I understand that receiving guidance is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment, and I will not use it in place of any form of therapy.
I understand that all comments and ideas offered by Jamie Shaw are solely for the purpose of aiding me in moving forward with my ascension process and maximising the transformative effect of the self discovery adventure being undertaken. I have the ability to give my informed consent, and hereby give such consent to Jamie Shaw to assist me in achieving the goals we agree together, and I understand that results are not guaranteed. I understand that self discovery adventures do not always run smoothly and are designed to be inherently challenging.
I understand that Jamie Shaw will protect my information as confidential unless I state otherwise in writing. If I report child, elder abuse or neglect or threaten to harm myself or someone else, I understand that necessary actions will be taken and my confidentiality agreement limited in this capacity. Furthermore, if Jamie Shaw is ordered by a court to provide information or to testify, he will do so to the extent the law requires.
I understand that the use of technology is not always secure and I accept the risks of confidentiality in the use of email, text, phone, Skype, Zoom, Facebook, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, and other technology.
I hereby release, waive, acquit and forever discharge Jamie Shaw, any agents, successors, assigns, personal representatives, executors, heirs and employees from every claim, suit action, demand or right to compensation for damages I may claim to have or that I may have arising out of acts or omissions by myself or by Jamie Shaw as a result of the advice given by Jamie Shaw or otherwise resulting from the guidance relationship contemplated by this agreement.

I hereby release, waive, acquit and forever discharge Jamie Shaw, any agents, successors, assigns, personal representatives, executors, heirs and employees from every claim, suit action, demand or right to compensation for damages I may claim to have or that I may have arising out of acts or omissions by myself or by Jamie Shaw as a result of the self discovery adventures organised by Jamie Shaw or otherwise resulting from the guidance relationship contemplated by this agreement.
I further declare and represent that no promise, inducement or agreement not expressed in this agreement has been made to me to agree to this agreement. This agreement shall bind my heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.
SELF DISCOVERY ADVENTURES TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. They contain important information that you need to be aware of before booking a self discovery adventure with Permanent Pilgrim. By accessing or using the https://www.permanentpilgrim.com website you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. You accept these terms and conditions by paying for a self discovery adventure.

Permanent Pilgrim and Jamie Shaw are not responsible for any losses, damage, death, injuries, or claims whatsoever arising from, connected with, or related to any activities engaged during your self discovery adventure. You engage in all such activities at your own risk.
Self discovery adventures involve a degree of physical exertion and it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that they are physically fit enough to undertake the self discovery adventure they book. If you are in any doubt please contact Permanent Pilgrim for general advice about the self discovery adventure you plan to undertake and contact your medical practitioner for specific medical advice relating to you and the self discovery adventure you are proposing to undertake.

The self discovery adventure schedule will be arranged privately between Jamie and the client. Clients receive two 60 minute online guidance sessions prior to embarking on the self discovery adventure. Each self discovery adventure has a duration of 7 days. Any reduction or extension of this 7 day duration is at the discretion of Jamie Shaw and Permanent Pilgrim.

Itineraries are customised for each self discovery adventure and for the needs of each individual client or small group of clients. We reserve the right to change an itinerary due to local circumstances or events outside of our control. In such emergency circumstances the additional cost of any necessary itinerary alterations will be covered by you. Please note we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that may be incurred as a result of the change of itinerary.

SELF DISCOVERY ADVENTURES FEES
In return for the fees payable by the client (or by a third party on their behalf), Jamie agrees to provide the service as described below and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out below. The client agrees to pay fees for the service on the terms and conditions set out below (in situations where a third party pays the fees, the third party counts as an agent acting on behalf of the client).
The date that Jamie Shaw and the client meet in person shall be deemed to be the start date for the service. Where any client is unhappy with any of the terms and conditions they can contact Jamie to discuss any concerns and see if they can be resolved before the self discovery adventure and/or the first online guidance session begin. Paying for a Permanent Pilgrim Self Discovery Adventure automatically means the client is accepting these terms and conditions.

Each itinerary will be booked individually and separate booking confirmation invoices will be administered for each. Dates, itineraries and prices are customised for each self discovery adventure.

The fee for each self discovery adventure shall be agreed and notified to the client. A booking is made only when a self discovery adventure is paid for in advance. A confirmation invoice will be sent for each individual departure. A contract will exist between us from the date we issue the confirmation invoice. Payment for each self discovery adventure is due 30 days before the departure date. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.

Fees paid for a self discovery adventure do not include travel costs or living expenses or personal expenses or travel insurance or optional activities. The client is responsible for all living costs related to supporting themselves during a self discovery adventure. Fees paid for a self discovery adventure do include the services of Jamie Shaw and Permanent Pilgrim as a self discovery leader or a group leader during a self discovery adventure.

PAYMENT TERMS
Fees can be paid online by debit or credit card using the WIX Payments system, the PayPal payments systems, by standing order, or by bank transfer. Where receipts are requested by the client, they will be sent by e-mail unless otherwise requested.
Fees for the self discovery adventure must be paid in advance of each 60 minute online guidance session included in the package unless otherwise agreed. Where payment has not been received by Jamie Shaw in advance of a guidance session Jamie is not obliged to provide the session.

CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a trip:
• 31 days or more prior to departure, you will receive a refund.
• 30 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 100% paid by you in connection with the booking.
If you leave a self discovery adventure for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. If you fail to join a self discovery adventure, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. Permanent Pilgrim will not be responsible for any costs incurred due to flight or any other travel cancellations.

CANCELLATION BY PERMANENT PILGRIM
We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. If we cancel your self discovery adventure, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.

AGE & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
The minimum age for this self discovery adventure at the time of travel is 18 years old.
Maximum General Policy: For self discovery adventures there is no upper age limit though we remind you that self discovery adventures can be physically demanding and clients must ensure that they are suitably fit to allow full participation.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice prior to travel for the latest health requirements and recommendations for your destination.

PASSPORTS, VISAS, TRAVEL INSURANCE & FLEXIBILITY
You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all of the appropriate visas, permits and certificates for the country or countries which you will visit during your self discovery adventure. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your self discovery adventure. Jamie Shaw and Permanent Pilgrim is not responsible if you are refused entry to a country because you lack the correct passport, visa or other travel documentation.

Travel insurance is not compulsory for self discovery adventures. If you wish to purchase travel insurance then that is your sole responsibility. Self discovery adventures with Permanent Pilgrim are challenging and absolutely not a kind of holiday. You appreciate and acknowledge that the nature of this type of experience requires considerable flexibility and you should allow for the fact that self discovery adventures are not designed to be smooth. The itinerary provided for each trip is representative of the types of activities contemplated, but it is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or events.

AUTHORITY ON SELF DISCOVERY ADVENTURES & ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
Self discovery adventures are led by Jamie Shaw. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any person participating in a self discovery adventure. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a group leader, or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group (in the case of small group self discovery adventures), the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund. He may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited,.

You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and participation involves a degree of personal risk. You will be visiting places where the political, cultural and geographical attributes present dangers and physical challenges greater than those present in our daily lives. We use information and reports from our own contacts in assessing whether the itinerary should operate. However it is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to undertake a self discovery adventure is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks attendant upon such travel.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We may contract with or use external companies, government agencies and individuals to assist in the running of certain aspects of self discovery adventures. We are not responsible for the acts and omissions of these third parties.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• any liability for any loss, death, injury or damage which you may suffer (directly or indirectly) in connection with or arising out of your participation in a self discovery adventure.
• you release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability and expressly waive any claims you may have against us arising out of or in connection with your participation in a self discovery adventure.

CLAIMS & COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about your self discovery adventure, please inform Jamie Shaw or your group leader at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 30 days of the end of the self discovery adventure.

PHOTOS, VIDEOS & MARKETING
You consent to Jamie Shaw and Permanent Pilgrim using images and videos of you taken during the self discovery for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose, and to be used as content on the Permanent Pilgrim website and associated social media channels such as Instagram and YouTube. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use such images and video for publicity, promotional and educational purposes.

PRIVACY POLICY
We will otherwise treat your details in accordance with our privacy policy (available for viewing here).

FORMAT OF ONLINE GUIDANCE SESSIONS
Two 60 minute online guidance sessions are included in each self discovery adventure package.
Via Skype, Zoom, Facebook, Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp (client calls coach); telephone guidance sessions (client calls coach); or other format where such is agreed. Unless otherwise agreed, for Skype, Zoom, Facebook, Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp and telephone sessions the client is responsible for contacting Jamie at agreed times. Jamie is responsible for ensuring that he is available for consultation at agreed times.
The length of each session is as agreed between Jamie and the client.

ADDITIONAL SESSIONS
Jamie may agree to provide additional guidance sessions beyond the two 60 minute sessions included in each self discovery adventure package. These terms and conditions will apply to any additional sessions so provided and the Per Session Fee for these extra sessions will be agreed between Jamie Shaw and the client. The fees listed on the https:www.permanentpilgrim.com website are a guideline for these extra session prices. There may be a change to the Fee or to any other term or condition in accordance with the section in these terms and conditions headed “Variation of Terms and Conditions”.
DATES AND TIMES OF SESSIONS
The date and time of the first session and any subsequent session is either set by the client booking online or is agreed between Jamie and the client by phone, email, or other messaging service and confirmed by Jamie by email or telephone or other messaging service.
Sessions can only be rearranged in accordance with the section in these terms and conditions headed “Rearranging Sessions”.
BETWEEN SESSIONS
Jamie may assign the client tasks or exercises to complete between guidance sessions. There is no obligation on the client to complete these items of ‘homework’, but not doing so may slow the client’s progress in gaining improved quality of life or achieving desired business or personal outcomes.
The client may contact Jamie by phone or e-mail between sessions to seek clarification regarding anything arising from a guidance session or for administrative purposes (e.g. where a client needs to rearrange a coaching session or make a payment). Additional guidance work can also be provided between sessions but there will be an additional charge for this. Jamie will always advise a client in advance if the nature of a client’s contact is likely to incur an additional charge and no such charges will be imposed without the client’s agreement.
REARRANGING SESSIONS
If a client needs to rearrange a guidance session, they should provide at least 48 hours notice. No refunds will be given to clients for unused guidance sessions unless 48 hours notice has been given. In exceptional circumstances Jamie may need to rearrange a coaching session. In those instances he will also give the client 48 hours notice where practical.
Where a client pays for a session or sessions in advance they must have the coaching session(s) that they have paid for within 3 months of the payment or their fee is forfeited.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Personal information or business information supplied by clients in guidance sessions will be treated as confidential. It will not be disclosed to a third party without the client’s prior permission, save where required by law or where action might be necessary to prevent harm to the client or someone else.

EARLY TERMINATION
In exceptional circumstances, such as illness or unavailability due to bereavement or other commitments, inappropriate behaviour by the client, actual or potential conflict of interest, or other reasons, Jamie can decide to terminate the service to the client early or refuse or be unable to provide further guidance sessions to the client. In such a circumstance the client will be given reasonable notice of termination by Jamie where practicable and will be refunded any advance payments made for guidance sessions not yet provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Jamie will seek to enable the client to achieve desired outcomes. Both Jamie and the client recognise that the ascension process is not always easily understandable and 'making progress' may not always feel like 'making progress'. The client has sole responsibility for taking important decisions in their life or business. Jamie has no liability for any loss incurred by any client, whether financial or otherwise, following commencement of guidance sessions, or for any perceived failure by the client, whether justified or otherwise, to achieve their desired outcomes or goals.
VARIATION OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Jamie Shaw and Permanent Pilgrim reserve the right to update and/or alter these terms and conditions at anytime, and it is the client's responsibility to be familiar with them. The latest terms and conditions can always be found on the Permanent Pilgrim website www.permanentpilgrim.com and will supersede any previous versions.
GOVERNING LAW
This contract is governed by the law of England whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute, disagreement, proceedings or legal claim of any nature relating to the service provided or the contract.
